Really disappointed overall with Lady Bee these days. They score points convenience but unfortunately the flavor misses the mark and I don’t think the prices are reasonable for what they serve.
Lady Bee in my opinion is more for convenience. Quick, no wait and immediate. I have eaten there on many occasions. The food is fair, satisfying if you in a rush. Staff are friendly and restaurant is fairly clean. The food is weighed and charged. In comparison to some fully fledged restaurants within a 5 to 10km radius Lady Bee is hugely over priced. On average for two people the cost is approximately R280 whilst eating at an A la Carte restaurant we paid R350 for 4 people with a lot more food, tastier and freshly cooked. In fact we also brought home a doggy bag for the next day.Since I discovered how over priced Lady Bee are I much prefer the newly opened A La Carte restaurant in Rylands. Lady Bee must be more realistic with their pricing..
I’ll start by saying if you want really traditional home cooked food style, this is your go to place. Or even if you cooking at home and you lazy and need rice or rootis you can just pop in here to go get some. Their food is really nice but someone overpriced for me. A few of their things are really worth the price while others are not. I had steak and it was way to chewy which put me off completely. But their savories are really nice and filling for on the go.
Quite a decent first experience at Lady Bee. The food was tasty and filling and the restaurant clean and welcoming. My only qualm is that the food is left standing open for who knows how long, subjecting it to oxidation. Also I’m not a fan of microwaving my meal at a restaurant so perhaps going forward they can offer a good, old fashioned hot buffet.
Lady Bee has some of the best Halaal pastries in Cape Town. Their samosas are affordable and delicious as well as their curried rooties. I’ve been going there for a while and their service is proffesional yet friendly and fast. The best part is that Lady bee is highly affordable.
