This is such a wonderful little restaurant that I never knew existed. The views are really amazing and the restaurant itself is also really nice. Service at the bar was very patchy but the food service was great and so was the food. Portions were also very big.
We were really looking forward to have lunch here, but the service was absolutely revolting. Not even the managaer wanted to come to us so we could talk to him about all the issues. Won’t recommend this restaurant, although the food is good. The service left a bitter taste in tbe mouth.
This restaurant is on my cycling route and on their sign offers breakfasts to cyclists from 8 am onwards, so I made an arrangement with friends to meet there on Sunday morning at 10.The first problem was that my friends brought their dog on a leash with them and so we were asked to sit in the smoking area, but we accepted this and willingly complied. Our coffee order was taken and then the waiter disappeared. After 15 minutes we had to go look for the waiter. The coffees eventually arrived and our breakfast order was taken. Once again it took ages for the order to arrive. I ordered scrambled egg on toast. It was very ordinary, no garnish and was not well presented on the plate – it felt like something one would get in an industrial canteen. Similarly with my friend’s omelette: raw tomato wedges were put into the middle of the omelette. Our breakfast lacked attention to detail but most of all, it lacked passion. It’s obvious that nobody in the kitchen really cares about the food going out, and the waiters don’t care about their customers. The manager tried to make up for it by offering us a free round of coffee, but we declined it as the damage had been done and it was obvious that he didn’t really care either.Perhaps this restaurant has been spoilt by the tour buses that stop here? The easy pickings of tour bus groups has made them lose what counts the most in a restaurant – passion. We won’t be back.
