A few inside tables and a nice outdoor area where parents can sit and watch their kids play on the jungle gym or keep an eye on their fur-children. We did the latter for breakfast one morning. We essentially each ordered a plate of breakfast sides – mushrooms, hash-browns, tomatoes, toast, chips. They were well prepared and served with a tasty garnish of spring onion and coriander, but I wouldn’t say the restaurant is vegan-friendly. Our brekkies were reasonably priced, reflective of the portions we were served. Overall, it doesn’t come with my highest recommendation, but if you find yourself in Kommetjie and in need of a breakfast, you can make it work.

Easy going is what comes to mind here. A small intimate restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Reggae music playing, kids swinging from trees and dogs lapping from water bowls. Divine chilli poppers and cold wine and beer.
Great family breakfast. Eggs were perfect. Eggs Benedict a little different but delicious. Hash browns crispy with soft centres. This was our first trip to Kommetjie and it was great to find a place with reall good coffee. Thank you and well done.
