The exterior is well decorated and has a traditional ice cream parlour feel – which makes for great photos. Sadly the inside does not exactly meet the decor of the outside, nevertheless it is still well maintained. Many exciting and delicious flavors are offered and all of the options are fairly priced – especially compared to competitors. There is not much room for sit down as it is mainly meant for take away – however this is perfect for any hot day whilst browsing along the Main Street.

What a hidden gem! Tucked away on the main road opposite Jubilee Square, the ice cream parlour boasts so many yummy flavours for such reasonable prices. It was the perfect way, to end of a sunny Sunday in Cape Town
JB’s Ice Cream Parlour – Simon’s TownYummyliciousProbably the best or rather the most yummylicious ice cream parlour in the south.Situated opposite Jubilee Square on the main road in Simon’s Town lies JB’s Ice Cream Parlour. Owned and operated by Mr JB himself. An ice cream heaven for those sharing a love for Italian gelato and sorbet’s – not forgetting or omitting the Soft serve department. Served with either wafer or sugar cones and or the trusty cup version. R10.00 – R 18.00 for the soft serve.A range of delightful flavours on offer – To name but a few – caramel fudge and flake, peaches and cream, Zanzibar vanilla pod, blueberry cheese cake and the orange seville. Single R20.00, double R30.00 Triple scoop R40.00In Summary – The ‘Best of both Worlds’ is why we visit – Large sugar cone, filled with a gelato of your choice – Peaches and cream is a must – and then topped off with an halo of vanilla soft serve. Yummylicious. R25.00The other dreamy specialty is the ‘3 in a bed’ – Vanilla soft serve, served in a large tub and topped with your choice of three gelato’s R40.00.Enjoy your delights at the indoor tables or along the harbour pier.Friendly service, prices that are pocket friendly and a variety of lip licking real Italian ice creams. As always, a pleasureMr G – Marcus Gibbons
