  Awesome friendly and charismatic owner that really brings this cosy joint to life. My lunch, the Green Room Burger, was delicious! Wish I was in Kommetjie longer to try their other dishes. Coffee and desert was a bit of a let down though.

  I’ve eaten at the Green Room a number of times and their food has always been excellent! So far I have had their toasted chicken and mayo sandwich, which is definitely one of the best that I’ve ever had and I have also had their burgers. This weekend we went out for their burgers again and oh my! they were even tastier than I remembered! The portion sizes are fantastic and they are so well priced. I absolutely love how they store their menus (it is so unique, you’ll have to go see for yourself) The names of all the dishes on the menu have been thought out so well and add an extra touch to the whole dining experience. We went for the Royale with Cheese and Chips and the Green Room Burger (bacon, cheese, caramelised onions,  garlic mushrooms and bbq sauce) The burgers were almost the size of my face (perfect for a hungry tummy) The bun had been toasted slightly to add that extra crispiness and the burger held together really well so you could eat it with your hands (nothing worse than having to eat a burger with a knife and fork!) The beef patty was so flavorful, the cheese was melted perfectly and there was the perfect amount of extra bits. The fries were some of the best that I’ve ever had and I thoroughly enjoyed gobbling every bit! The staff were really friendly and welcoming, super efficient and had a lovely vibe about them. We sat outside as it was such a beautiful evening and enjoyed the stunning view of Kommetjie mountain. The interior of the restaurant has a warm, rustic feel with simple decor. I cannot wait to go back and try their Nachos, I’ve heard they are legendary. When the bill was brought to our table it was served with two chocolate pretzel sticks for a little bit of sweetest after such a tasty meal which I think is such an original touch. I highly recommend a visit to the Green Room if you’re passing through Kommetjie and if you’re a Kommetjie local then take a break from your kitchen and enjoy an amazing, tasty meal out at Green Room. They also do takeaways so why not grab a burger and go watch the sunset.
