Viper RulesThe Viper lounge – South (Thats right, there is another in the North somewhere over the mountain) is in it’s 4th year of existence and is and has already become a South side legend along with the likes of The Brass Bell, Cape to Cuba and others.A family run affair with Willy & Joan at the helm.Situated a spark plug throw away from the Glen Cairn beach and on route to Simonstown.Been a patron of this venue from day one and have spent some very memorable days and evening chilling out and rocking out.In essence a biker bar for every one.The decor is true biker style, with flags , helmets, t shirts and a whole lot of additional biker paraphernalia. A bikers man / womans dream cave.Peter Fonda & Jack Nicholson (Easy Rider-for the less informed) would have fitted in perfectly. There is always something a happening at The Viper.D J’s , musicians and others are a frequent happening over weekends. The likes of DJ Beau (Affinity) , Shelly & Alan are included in the current regular entertainment line-up.Sundays are Breakfast run days.Just love the sounds of the Harley’s & others rumbling through the streets on their way to the South. This venue, will be around for many a year to come. The staff are bar smart and always up for a party – A theme party for anything.(Rugby days, Freedom days, braai days or any other excuse day)Bar prices are as per the norm & there is a ‘joint venture’ pizza place next door (Pizza Khaya) that caters for the hungry. The Viper may not be every body’s cup of Tea (then again Tea is not the preferred drink of choice at this venue) but it certainly adds a bit of character and flavour to the South.See you someday at the ViperThanks AgainMR.G – Marcus Gibbons
Wow. What can I say?! We were treated really nice at the beginning, but then things started going downhill. My boyfriend had to ask the barlady atleast 3 times for a drink and she just shrugged him off. We eventually got a drink from the other barlady. Really bad experience and I would never go back again. They obviously have their regular customers, but they could’ve atleast been more inviting to out of towners.
