Reasonably priced, but I felt that the coffee wasn’t great and that the service was slow and confused. They were overly chatty with some customers and didn’t respond well to requests.

A lovely oasis from the festive chaos outside. Food is simple, fresh and tasty. The restaurant has a homey feel with a relaxed ambiance. The fish and chips was tasty, maybe a little over cooked but still had great flavour. The Lasagna was also good served with a side salad. Food took a little longer than expected but that can be forgiven as we got to people watch the busystreet outside and took advantage of the free wifi. The waitress was lovely and accommodating, overall it was a pleasant experience.

Dec 31: Dropped in for coffee after roaming around the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. The interiors are nice aqua blue and that was inviting. From the outside, you could probably miss this place. The cappuccinos were good and apple crumble was decent. Good place for a coffee.

Decided to try out La Sal today for the first time. The place was clean and the staff friendly.I ordered the special, Pot Roast Chicken with Rice, Potatoes, Butternut & Creamed Spinach (although I asked them to skip the Spinach). It was an exceptionally nice plate of food that I thoroughly enjoyed.Unfortunately this pleasant meal was spoilt by the bad luck that plagued my wife. At first she ordered Lasagne, but 10 minutes later they told us they’d run out even though it was only around 1 pm. Then she ordered the Beef Burger and chips.Once it arrived it was raw in the centre and had to be sent back. They cooked it further and then returned it to us, we wish they hadn’t. It had the consistency of play dough and next to no flavour. At least the chips were nice.We skipped dessert and went to order a Rave Burger from Steers across the street.
