Its so sad that someone should feel that way. Have you been there any other times besides breakfast. Well I can tell you that the little place has never been so busy and im sure the figures reflect that. As for the owner. He is an international chef which has great pride and interest in what he does and is absolutely adored by the diners that frequent the place
My friend and I have been meeting regularly at THe Olive Branch for morning coffee for 7 years.It has always been a very pleasant venue, with good, affordable food and a lovely friendly atmosphere.We hadn’t been for some time because I had had an operation, but we went back for the first time about a month ago.Sadly we discovered it had been taken over by someone else. Whilst the food is still good ( although they did not avocados, and it is avocado season), the atmosphere has disappeared . The new owner is clearly not interested in his patrons and does not greet anyone or make eye contact.. His waitress is clearly an unhappy young lady as she has not smiled at all the 2 times we have been there. It is really very sad to see the place so much emptier than it used to be. Sadly we will have to take our custom elsewhere.
