We went to Massimos for our first visit last Sunday, but being unaware of their (over) dog friendly approach, were surprised to discover that dogs were not only allowed outside, but inside too – from tiny ones napping on the seats to large ones barking nearby. I mentioned to a waiter, Chris, my surprise at this policy as I am highly allergic to dogs and wondered if this was in line with health regulations not to mention the high risk of dog fights and persons tripping over leads etc in the confined areas. Chris was very abrupt and offhand and basically said we were welcome to leave if we didn’t like it – never even offered us an alternative table. We left. A pity all round as clearly Massimos is trying to do a lot for good causes, but it looks like its dogs first and paying clientele second.
Love, love, love! Came here to celebrate my birthday and was not disappointed. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious and the setting so relaxed. Just what I was after. Every person in my party enjoyed their meal. Be it pizza or pasta it went down a treat. I had the spaghetti and meatballs – very tasty! The highlight was the pineapple cheesecake a friend had for dessert. My stars, I'd crawl over broken glass to have that again.
