A hidden gem!When you walk in the room is filled with decor of the ages. From stamps from 1912 to old newspaper articles dating back to the Boer wars. It makes you feel that you are somewhere new, and somewhere unique.Staff is often my biggest gripe at restaurants. And this is one of the first restaurants I have eaten at that I can say the staff are truely competent and welcoming. They have been well trained.The food is to die for! If you ever go, have the Lamb! It is some of the best I have eaten! And the menu offers courses suiting majority of tastes.I have eaten at Quentin’s and hosted my birthday. And I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves food or the occasional wine and dine!

Ate here on a couple of occasions during an extended visit to South Africa hence the belated review. First time was in February but we did also eat here at the end of March, with our friend Michel before our return to the UK. In February we went for Dinner which was excellent. Outstanding food and excellent service. Both Quentin the Chef Owner and David as front of House were extremely welcoming and friendly. After we returned to Hout Bay from travelling we wanted to re-visit so went for Sunday lunch. Excellent food and again the same excellent and friendly service. One of our favourite restaurants during our time in South Africa. Would highly recommend.
Booked a table to celebrate my wife’s birthday. When we arrived the restaurant was closed which left us unhappy on a happy occasion. However, Quentin reached out to show he cared and we appreciate that. He delivered on our initial need of a great dining experience and I would definitely recommend. Great staff, excellent food, unique atmosphere and the passion for patrons shows.
