Wow! Firstly I fell in love with Hout Bay 19 years ago on my first visit to Cape Town. On this visit, Hout Bay did not disappoint and Snoekies (recommended by many) was an added bonus. The portions are huge with tons of chips so don’t order rolls. The staff and friendly as ever and service is quick and efficient.

Best fish ‘n chips in Cape Town, lovely crispy batter around the fish, massive portions could only finish half of the plate. Value for money, very casual atmosphere and overall fun experience.
The fish is pretty great. The chips- not so great. The line that you have you to wait in is even less so, hehe.Go here for good fish and if you have a lot of patience.
