Haven’t been there in a while but I had a dinner nightmare at one of the other seafood restaurants in the V&A Waterfront tonight and it just reminded me of how good Baia actually is.They are always a pleasure and their food is always top class.I will definitely be back there soon.
Weeknight dinner at Baia, was actually quite busy. We were quite a large team. Vegetarian options very limited except for salad or soup. They did however accommodate me with a coconut haloumi and vegetable curry. Definitely not the best curry I have had. The desert of individual baked Lindt chocolate cake with ice cream was hands down the best dessert I have had in a while. Also tried the lemon butter sauce which was really yummy. The rest of the team enjoyed the seafood.
Baia is a very classy but reasonably priced restaurant. We started with lovely oysters and my main course was 3 game: ostrich, springbok and kudu – an excellent introduction to new (to us) dishes. The kudu was especially delicious. Service was attentive and informative and the bill was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended.
The location is excellent with stunning views of the V&A Waterfront. The baby lobster tails were recommended by the waiter and was absolutely amazing. The calamari was delicious, all the food was exceptional and a highly recommended restaurant to visit
