Went for some tapas. One of our orders was completely wrong – the waitress didn’t write anything down and the restaurant was full so we expected errors. The prawn salad was late and really soggy. The salt and pepper squid (also salad) was drenched in oil. We waited around 2 hours for a table – we asked to sit outside which was packed. We weren’t made aware that there were free tables inside hence the long wait. But the staff are really friendly and the place is pretty.
Always receive the best service & highest quality when dinning at the Bascule bar.Went their a few weeks ago just for dessert and as always the staff where attentive, charastmatic and able to create an experience.Being in the hospitality industry myself, I know the ins and outs of the industry as well as the team work that goes into service.Well done to the team!

One of the best kept secret of Cape Town.Lovely place to have tapas & drinks.Staff very friendly, especially NICKY , our waitress. Staff very attentive & makes you feel very welcome.Nice place for a Friday Date Afternoon/night.Highly recommended
Had the honour of attending a whisky tasting presented by Georgie Belle, the global malts ambassador for Bacardi (yes they own whisky distilleries as well). On the line up was Dewar’s , Craigellachie and Aultmore. Needless to say the tasting was amazing. The service from all the staff was amazing.Prior to the tasting I treated myself to an Old Fashioned which was really amazing. If you live whisky pay them a visit.
