the chips and calamari are really good but my hake was terrible. I noticed the texture was not right but took another bite and asked my partner to try too. He agreed and upon inspection of the fish we note that the fish was mushy and slimey. when we returned the staff explained that the fish was not bad but that it wS most likely due to thr fact that the fish is frozen, this is despite the fact that on arrival my partner asked whether the fish was fresh and was assured it was. i could not eat the rest of fish and declined the offer of a replacement.

This is just a take away shop in the food court at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, but it still managed some of the best seafood we had on our visit to South Africa.My wife wasn’t sure about what to order, and the staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting a local fish from the menu. Sitting outside in the glorious Autumn weather we enjoying the view of the bustling waterfront and the amazing children’s playground.
Pretty decent meal of takeaway fish and chips, to be enjoyed overlooking the harbor. You’ve got to get the sauces too, they’re great! It’s just a tad in the pricey side overall.
Calamari and chips are always a winner at this establishment.Everything is always fresh.My biggest recommendation ia theie Onion rings.Dont walk padt without buying a packet.
