We imagined that we were in New York and ordered a Chilli Dog and a King Chilli to go (well, actually you have to go after ordering it because you can’t really stay – it’s food truck, after all!)The franks were hot (as in temperature) and the sauce / relish even hotter! Really liked the soft slightly steamed bun. Not cheap at R40 odd each, but still less than paying in dollar. Plus we have a mountain that really trumps anything!
Been here twice already. Food was good on both occasions and found the servings to be quite generous. The fries were quite yummy as well, however, I find their prices a bit high at the cost of R140 for 2 people. Staff are quite friendly though and probably will go back.
I’m not sure if it was just a one-time experience, but the hot dog I had here was below average.. The sausage wasn’t warmed all the way through and it wasn’t as tasty as expected.. We’d had a long afternoon at a yacht party and I would have found anything delicious at that stage, but I was quite disappointed. They do offer lots of different toppings though, and the onions were quite tasty.
I had the famous New Yorker. Oh my goodness. I’m not a fan of hotdogs but I am a fan of the Hotdog King! It was super delicious and had so much taste. Coming back for more when I’m in the area!
