We were fortunate to have a fine dining chefs table , hosted by Dine4Six. Chef Malik’s carefully crafted a Cape Malay inspired 4 course menu, perfectly paired with wine my Marvin. The food was incredible and the service outstanding.Breads were served with a selection Curry, Harrisa and Salted butters.  The curry one was delicious. For starters were were served a salmon with citrus and avocado mousse followed by Cape Malay curry risotto, scallop, prawn, cucumber and yoghurt paired with an Eagles’ Nest 2016 Viognier.  The scallop melted in your mouth, and risotto carried the Malay flavours beautifully.  The next course was confit pork belly with saffron scented parsnip puree and passionfruit,  paired with a 2016 Savage White Blend.Pallet cleanser was green apple foam with lemon and fennel jelly.Course four was bobotie spiced ostrich (eye) fillet with quinoa, pickled raisins and almond granola paired with two reds, a Rust en Vrede 2006 Shiraz and a 1995 Stellenzicht Red Blend which was unbelievably tasty.Milktart mille feuille naartjie ice-cream which was served with a dessert wine.

With panoramic views of Signal Hill, Signal Restaurant provides a welcome setting on the water’s edge. The menu is a unique combination of flavours incorporating influences from the many cultures that called upon this region in days gone by. The aged yellowwood furniture juxtaposed with crisp white linen, all skillfully positioned in the glow of the eccentric hand-crafted chandeliers sets the atmosphere for a new level of hip hotel dining.

We had wedding anniversary dinner here. Was absolutely to perfection. Champagne on arrival, best pate+special breads made from chef for starter. Super attentive and quick service. I had vegetarian gnocchi-all different vegetables and nuts together to die for.Hubby had ostrich bobotie what was tasty. Dessert we had cream brûlée-serve and taste divine!

Restaurant week in Cape Town, evening dinner for 4. The “welcome home” comments as you arrive do make you feel welcome. The space is light and airy and the staff friendly and efficient. The food was fantastic. Roasted shellfish broth had very strong rich flavors, quite spicy as was the Butter curry risotto but the pork belly starter was the best. The mains were all excellent, Babotie spice ostrich and beef fillet, medium rare, tender and tasty. Don’t have the cheese platter unless you are still hungry. It is a huge plate of 4-5 cheeses, nuts and fruit! But the chocolate mousse took the cake, so to speak. Creme brûlée also fantastic. Really good food and plenty to eat so go hungry and skip the amazing breads at the start!!

My number 1 favourite place. I have no words. Every time we have been there we felt special. Just amazing! I would move back to Cape Town just to eat there more often.
