I’ve had some chow mein here. The taste was good and it came really fast. I was happy with the portion, but felt cheated, because all the chicken was on top and there wasn’t much. I grabbed a pear cider from the bar nearby.
Tried some sushi here recently and I was actually impressed they are able to produce good quality sushi in a confined space. The service is also quite quick which is a benefit if you on a lunch break. This place is definitely worth a try if you are in the food market and have a sushi craving. I’ll be back to try some of the Thai dishes. The only problem is that there is limited seating but this is just due to location.
I couldn’t be happier that Woodies ran out of chicken today because it forced me to try out Thai Hut and I was not disappointed! I ordered the chicken cashew nut stir fry. I am trying to cut down on my carb intake so I asked if they could take out the noodles and add more veg and they were more than willing to oblige. I ordered extra chilli in my meal and it was one of the best Thai meals I’ve had. The food was piping hot, served timeously and the portion was decent for how much I paid (R60). I’ll definitely go back!
During our visit to the V&A food market the wife decided to skip burgers and have some stir fry noodles with prawns. It arrived got and steamy and tasted delicious. Veg was crunchy and it tasted fresh. For 70 rand the portion was a bit small but most places in the food market is a bit pricy.
