A friend and I popped by for a coffee while waiting after walking around the V&A Waterfront, and we weren’t disappointed. We decided to sit outside, despite the fact that it was a little chilly, and were given big snuggly blankets!The coffees were lovely, and we received a few small treats to accompany our drinks. We didn’t see inside the restaurant, but it looked warm and inviting.

Sisters and I decided to go for the sinful delight option. The desserts were underwhelming and I’ve had better. The one strawberry dessert had a weird texture which was very unpleasant and I could not finish it.Our hostess was not very amiable and when I enquired about using my gift card to pay for the high tea option she said they are familiar with the gift card but came back and rejected the payment option when the card is meant to be used anywhere in the waterfront?! All the other hostesses that were around were very friendly and helpful though.The atmosphere was relaxing, the chairs was comfy and the pianist was by far the best part of the experience!
Best high tea experience so far! Most friendly staff that went above and beyond to make our day special. From the savory start of sandwiches and mushroom quiche (and others) to a savory and sweet scone and then the beautiful buffet of desserts was truly spectacular! Our favorite tea of the three pots was the creme caramel tea. The red Christmas rooibos and the oolong were also great. Thanks again Table Bay!
