The Silo district is probably the most international, cosmopolitan area you can find in the entire Cape region. And in the middle of it you’ll find The Yard, a trendy, yet warm and welcome restaurant. Their staff are super friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious, and we had the best seats for the Silo Concert happening right next to the ZEITZ MOCAA.The Yard is a great place for sharing tapas and catching up with friends over delicious food. PS. Their samoosas and nachos are to die for!
This place is now #kidfriendly. I went to the yard shortly after it opened and it had a little bit of a pretentious atmosphere, but now it’s kid and family friendly, and nicer than having to go to Wimpy with the family. All of the food, Western and Indian is all very avarage, and you’ll definitely find better food elsewhere, but if you just want to relax while being out with your toddler, and not have to worry about making a scene(on the weekend it feels like every table has a toddler, and the restaurant is not cramped like most places in town), then this is a great place to go to. Huge bonus point for having Rosetta Coffee on premise! This is the main reason why I’d go here over Wimpy actually, because I’d be more satisfied after eating at Wimpy, but they don’t have anything resembling coffee.
Super trendy and super modern. It’s in a great location and makes for a wonderful, breakfast or lunch outing. The food is world class and overall it was a great experience. Definitely recommend.
Warm and welcoming. Our grown up family loved the menu with so many wonderful options to choose from. Service was excellent and food was delicious.
