I have always wanted to visit this restaurant as it is in prime position and the atmosphere surrounding it is amazing. We went over the long weekend. The staff are really warm and friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. However I can’t say I was overly impressed with the food. Quite basic and what is more annoying is that everything is additional like a basic salad and then being offered add-ons like avo for a whopping R25 extra and wedges also an additional to a sandwich. I think it would be a lot more appealing if these things were included already instead of trying to make money out of the patron. Then to be told they don’t make milkshakes any more despite it being on the menu. What is that? DON’T make milkshakes??? So had to resort to some sort of iced drink kinda like a milkshake but not the same. The bakery inside looks impressive. Not sure this would be a regular hangout for us.
This place is right in middle of all of the fun and action on the Waterfront. The menu is really great we had a BLT and Cuban Sandwich. Very generous and well presented. Fresh and flavoursome. The wedges were just as good. The frozen G & Ts were amazing. Service was good. Well worth the visit.
The placing is perfect. The service was quick and friendly. We love their pizzas. The cake bases were dry. But we would still come back to any Vovo Telo. It’s perfect for any breakfast or lunch.
