A fabulous spot for satisfying a sweet tooth, particularly if you’re into craft gin with your macarons.Guests are served indicidual platters of savouries to start: crostini with cream cheese, marinated cherry tomato and pickled cucumber, blini with caviar, mini savoury pies and hummus with bread stick. Then you’re free to indulge in the line-up of mini desserts, meringues, cake slices, nougat and of course multiple glass jars filled with colourful contrasty macarons. There’s mini créme brûlée, mini panna cotta, baked yoghurt with pineapple, red velvet cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes, carrot cake and oreo cheesecake. Teas by Ronnefeld and served in cast iron caddies and cups. The tea menu contains a sample of each tea in a small window, great to assist with the selection process. Nobody played the piano but service was friendly and attentive. Good value at R205 for adults and R100 for under 12’s. The Gin Afternoon Tea is R265 per person.
