About
Culture Club Cheese is Cape Town's only artisan cheese shop and restaurant and South Africa's first fermented foods hub. With roughly 80 cheeses, 80% local and 20% imported, owners Luke and Jessica are seeking to turn Cape Town into South Africa's cheese capital. Luke is a cheese-maker and monger from the UK and he and his wife have travelled South Africa to meet the cheese makers. They proudly sell only the best of South Africa's handmade cheeses from grass fed, happy animals. Their restaurant is a fully functional gastronomic delight, ranging from traditional cheesy dishes (platters, toasties, mac n cheese) to the epicurious (pork belly, slow cooked lamb salad, Buffalo Milk cheesecake). They offer cheese and beer/wine pairings, introduction to cheese-making events, introduction to fermentation (cheese and probiotic delights such as Kimchi, Kraut, Kefir and Kombucha). The perfect destination for groups of up to 25 to learn more about the wild world of live fermentation and South Africa's cheese sector - which matches so well with the local wine scene.
