Great spot for quick healthy week day lunches. Like the sister branch at the icon, it also has a burger bar, sushi bar, sandwich and pizza bar, a massive salad and hot foods ‘buffet’ spread and some very yummy gourmet meats and salads at the deli section. Ample seating outside and you could even do your own little lunchtime picnic on the grass. I prefer this branch over the one at the icon.
This branch is HUGE with plenty of trendy decor and lots of tables outside perfect for warm weather! I love the location as well. The staff are so lovely and the cappuccinos are great.
I frequently come to this Food Lovers to get lunch on weekdays as it’s close to my office. It has a really large selection of salads, and the best thing about it is that each salad has all its ingredients listed on a little plaque in front of it. They even list the ingredients of any dressings used. This makes it a fantastic for vegans, and there are more than a few salads, and many plain salad ingredients available for you to select from. Everything is always really fresh too, and service at the tills is so speedy, despite the long queues at lunchtime. There are also really nice tables and benches outside for patrons to use. The only downside, however, is that it’s not super cheap. A large bowl of salad can set you back a good R70. But, I suppose that’s what you pay for all the benefits.
This is quite a big branch of food lovers. It’s in the heart of CBD so it’s quite busy. Usually go for the buffet. Love having just the chicken filling from their pie with rice. Sashen usually has everything including the veggies. It’s a bit pricey for the quality of food but it’s a quick on the go option.
