I had wanted to come here since 2016 and finally made the trip a few weeks ago and I’m so glad I did!The vibe here is so lovely and welcoming. You can feel the rich history of the building because it still has all the original fixtures. I ordered to protein pancakes to share and they were incredible! The coconut flavoured batter is so unique. I haven’t had pancakes that good in a very long time. I will definitely come back soon!
Disappointing. Give this one a miss. My melanzine was terrible: not baked and lacked flavour. My husband’s pulled pork sandwich was ice cold and the bread wasn’t even toasted. The ‘red cappuccinos’ also tasted strangely artificial. Furthermore they said they don’t accept the Entertainer on weekends. But I argued and eventually got the discount owed. Service staff were the only redeeming aspect. The owner however didn’t even come over to apologise for the feedback on the poor food or Entertainer debacle. Won’t be back.
What a gem!Quick bite before commencing our walking tour of the Bo-Kaap and it was just the right fuel!Spicy or seasonal chicken, both are delicious, served with your choice of bread. The sead loaf was a stand out. Before heading out, don’t forget to have a look at the freshly baked goods on display. The chai, chilli, rooibos (gluten free) brownie was amazing!
