Not my typical establishment but it had a great lunch time combo, and as I felt like seafood and it wasn’t too far and I could guarantee a quick turn around time, I chose it. I chose the calamari, chips and side salad combo, all for a mere R40 haha. My only complaint is that the salad is abit limp, and there are no ‘cleaning/washroom’ facilities, as the restaurant is slightly greasy. ✔value for money ✔ good portions ✔ central ✔tasty ✖greasy establishment ✖limp salad

Always great to have a decent calamari gatsby in town. The usual fish and chips shop in Green Market Square is always good to visit. It’s very casual and quick, our meal took a little long, but it was fresh and delicious. The full gatsby was worth the price, it was the biggest I’ve had in a while, but would have enjoyed a bit more overflowing chips.

If you want value for money don’t go to MR CALAMARI as you will order and pay for  375g of calamari but you 200g. What a waste of my money. I was so upset as that portion didn’t even fill  my 9-year-old niece. If they want customers to come back they should give the customer what they paid for.

I had a really good experiance here. The lady at the till was over friendly. I unfortunatly forgot her name. I ordered the 250g calamari with a side salad. I asked if their were facilities for me to wash my hands. There arent. So we sat down outside and promtly she comes to my table with a bowl of water and some soap to wash my hands in. So thoughtful. The food arrives and its crisp and lovely. My friend had a chiproll which had alot of chips. She ended up not finishing. The tartar sauce is goodstuff

Crispies Fish and Chips on Greenmarket square: avoid at all costs! Ordered Grilled fish and chips as is advertised on their menu, waited 5 minutes and was told I cannot have grilled fish. Asked to speak to the manager and was given a message from him; he is too busy to speak to me. Service is reluctant bordering on non-existent. It surprises me they are in business at all! Went around the corner to Lucky Fish and Chips in Longstreet. Friendly staff, better menu and they do GRILLED fish.
