Went there around midday and it seems as though the venue is more suited to an evening crowd; there isn’t much light towards the back & the stage suggested it becomes a different place when the sun goes down. With only one server, the food took forever to arrive. I had the brunch burger which was really tasty. The experience could have been better if I wasn’t sitting in a dense cloud of food smell. You know that fry-up smell that you carry with you in your clothes for the rest of the day? That. Drinks-wise I ordered an Old Fashioned which was also great-tasting (sage garnish was an awesome touch). Had a sip of their lavender lemonade & that was a little too tart for me. Overall, it’s a place you need to experience at least once.

Went this earlier this week. They were very busy. Food was not too bad but service was extremely slow. Staff never came to check on us they always had to be flagged down. Not sure if I’d go again.

I happened upon this place for a solo lunch after visiting the District 6 museum, and had a delicious and healthy meal that was served up quickly. The vibe was friendly and welcoming, and I ordered the drunken chicken salad that had a delicious variety. Very affordable as well.

After they did renovations, it really changed my entire view of them. Their food has always been great, but the renovations really added the extra touch they needed to make the experience worthwhile. As a photographer, it’s been meeting every one of my ambience/visual needs! Photos of my friend Jordyn.

One of the most amazing places to come to in Cape Town. Our waiter Harry was extremely nice and checked up on us routinely asking politely if there was anything else we needed. Just wow!
