Went to village idiot as this was the happening place in cape town. They had Halloween setup. The place is quite good for food and party. The music was good and dance floor was full. The food was nice. The service was good. Definitely must visit place
Friendly waiters
I was impressed with the price of cocktails as well as the calamari portion which was huge! The quality was a average however I have awarded this rate because the steak was cooked to perfection and was incredible tasty! The drinks and atmosphere were both great and we really enjoyed it! Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu
Heard about the place via the app..We went after work one evening to try it out..Didn’t think much of the place from outside..but once inside cozy welcoming environment..sat by the fireplace. had the deluxe braai board which fed myself and wife!! Meats were cooked to perfection and prices all reasonable! Will definitely visit again!
Initially I thought the staff were friendly and welcoming. I made a booking in advance and had no trouble at all. The food lacked flavour and certainly was not worth the price. I had the deluxe braai board, Hot or Not Wings and the Tata Ma Chance Ribs. The drinks were amazing can not fault them at all with regards to that. The hostess had the audacity to question the tip we gave and seemed to care more about how much tip was left for the waitress rather than gaining a customer. The male waiters were also trying to exert their masculinity on me as the customer and jumped into a conversation that did not concern them. The manger promised to call us back with a resolution as to how the staff will be dealt with but never did. I’ve never experienced such disrespect from the hostess down to the waiters/waitress including the manager (for not owning up to a promise). The manager who promised to call me Monday (23rd December 2019) is the woman in the blue jacket. The two disrespectful males are in full black.
