The service is really not great; the ladies are very unfriendly and make you feel like they’re doing you a favor by helping you pay. The taste of the chocolate is good; I didn’t like everything but the darker chocolates is really good; but that depends on everyone’s one taste.
DV’s offers a quick but very reasonable tasting, which is a good way of working through their basic offering. It’s a good way to have some dessert after La Grapperia. Their chocolate wasn’t anything exceptional, although I would recommend the Tasty Blonde. Their chocolate is also available at Woolworths if you’re curious but not up for a drive to Paarl.
Went for chocolate tasting on my birthday. The chocolate tasting is a serious bargain since you can have as much as you want for a very cheap set price. I love starting with the bitter, almost savory cocoa bean. Afterwards you move from dark chocolate to chocolate thins then milk chocolate and end of with the blonde version.
Their chocolate is delightful and there’s something for everybody’s taste. Tried their tasting offering during our most recent visit. Great variety of different chocolates that they expose one to during such but would have liked it to be a bit more personalized.
Part of the Spice Route adventures, did the chocolate tasting. They have a great range of good tasting chocolate, with the dark chocolate being my favorite. If you are a chocolate lover, come get your fix here!
