First stop in our wine exploration of Paarl. Was pleased. We opted for the wine and mini pie pairing. The mini lamb pies yummy and went well with the wine paired. An enjoyable start to the day. Would like to go back for the bubbly and cupcake pairing next
I love to do a brandy / gin / beer tasting. The KWV. As beautiful as it is steeped in history are not friendly. Very disappointed. Visited @vanRyn yesterday. 5/5.
The KWV wine tasting is really really good. Our experience at the place was soured though by the coffee shop which is found inside the building. We ordered a meat and cheese platter for five as an accompaniment to our tasting. We were charged R60 per person and the platter consisted of 8 pieces of bread, 6 slices of Parma ham, 8 pieces of salami, a half a camembert and some white cheddar! To say it was a rip off is an understatement. I would have made a fuss , but we had guests with us and I didn’t want to spoil the occasion. I really do not recommend anyone order the platter!!!
Loved the snack and wine pairing! Brandy and chocolate tasting very potent, but definitely a must for all the brandy lovers. Cupcake pairing also looks delicious
