I was there last week (Wednesday) for lunch. Wine selected on the menu not available, dish selected from the menu not available, wrong dishes were eventually brought, card machine malfunctioned.I paid again as per request of the owner. The amount went through twice so I asked for a reversal of one payment, which was outright refused so I asked for a cash refund, which was also refused.Owner undertook to repay at close of business via EFT. On Saturday, after no repayment was received, Owner’s wife said payment was made and she would send proof of payment.On Monday, no proof of payment was received and when queried, Owners wife put the phone down.This is my first review and I had to document this as I have never been treated this bad before.
If you are in Riebeek Kasteel you have to go to Bar Bar Black Sheep. Tucked away in an arty square you will be guaranteed a lovely atmosphere. Staff are friendly and attentive and the wine delish!!
We were here about 2 years ago and had a lovely afternoon. Food was delicious, locals friendly and there was an old fireplace going which made it super toasty and homely. Would love to go back one day and see if still the same
