Just got the news that tomorrow Sa 30Sept its again Pizza-wine special @ Kontrei Kombuis. Buy any bottle of Windmeul wine plus a gourmet wood fired pizza and get R15 discount on the bottle of wine!! You can get a bottle of 2017 Chenin Blanc for R29 after discount, at your table! This is a real bargain, definitely the only restaurant with these wine prices in SA!
We did the pizza and wine special last Saturday, where you get any large pizza and bottle of wine for only R99.00! It was delicious and great value for money, we’ll definitely recommend it for an Saturday outing if you are in the Paarl/Wellington area.
We arrived at 9h30 and had the breakfast pizza for 2 @ R99, what a surprise! It is enough for more than 2 and delicious. The coffee is also divine. It was a little bit cold last Saturday to sit outside, so we sit inside at the kaggel. At 10h00 the FREE Windmeul wine tasting starts. We did the wine tasting, recommending the Sauvignon Blanc and Pinotage, bought a few bottles of Windmeul Sauvignon Blanc @ cellar price to enjoy at our table with nice and big Windmeul glasses. Needless to say we overstay. At about lunch we ordered the Salami/olives pizza. The pizzas are done in a wood fired pizza oven. Nice thin crispy base with enough toppings that compliment each other. We’ll definitely try the Roosterkoek made with farm butter with our next visit this coming Saturday, and also the 2017 Windmeul Rose @ cellar price. This is real value for money! A meal for 2, large pizza plus a bottle of wine for under R150, what a bargain. Baie lekker!
