Living in the area for many years, I had driven past here many times and hardly registered its existence. I came for lunch with a friend and ordered the red hen sandwich; it was good but nothing special. The service was not at all good; waiting a while to be served, and was the let down of the experience.
It was the beast beef burger I have ever had and my brothers prawns look amazing and tasted amazing and my dad love’s the beer here, the furtare looks amazing and with the chocolate dipping was a very smart idea and with the strawberries it was devine.
Popped in at Gusto after a meeting in the area, with fond memories of their abundant, healthy lunchtime buffet. It seems that the cafe is under new management because the buffet was gone, save for some very basic and rather sad-looking green beans, potatoes and lentils. Oh well. After perusing the pamphlet-style menu, I opted for a ‘red hen’ toasted sandwich on Rye bread, which was delicious and thoughtfully constructed. My coffee was also perfect, and came quickly. The service was very friendly and welcoming. I’ll have to go again and try something else. I’ve heard that the baked goods are particularly good.
