This place is as authentic Chinese as you’ll find. Really great quality and quantity. Royo is inexpensive compared to any restaurant in China itself, so go treat yourself. I would highly recommend it. If your with a group and whilst your at it buy a bottle of Baijiu. That will promise a cheerful occasion with lots of excellent food and most important happy friends or clients! 🙂

I have been craving Peking Duck for a very long time. I know you have to pre-order so I decided to first find where to go in Cape Town.Google search revealed the top 3 listed restaurants in Cape Town that can prepare Peking Duck.So I opted for Royo which was list as nr 3 in Cape Town areaI set off on Friday morning to book in person – walked into Tokyo Sushi Bar below by accident and made a booking.Saturday night I arrived and found that the Restuarant is not RoyoThey referred me upstairs & off we wentWalking in the restuarant was fully booked and extremely busy – I asked the owner if he can accommodate 2 people and quickly we were given a table – it could seat 8 to 12 people but we did not mind. The food was amazing – service friendly and helpful – even if the language barrier was a bit of a problem.I finally satisfied my craving for Peking Duck – they had 1 order available – wonderful. My husband ordered Szechuan beef & fried rice noodles – hê rally enjoyed it.I can recommend this restuarant to any one looking for a venue that can handle big groups for dinner. They can accommodate small tables but it will be a better experience in a group – love the place.
