Good location, although, I could always do without street parking. The diner has an American style feel. Great variety of milkshakes. The popcorn flavor milkshake was a nice surprise as it smelt and tasted just like popcorn! The coffee is pretty decent and the menu itself has a decent array of options ranging from burgers to waffles. The food is quite good and presented well. Service is mediocre. All is all, worth the visit and the money.
This will unfortunately be the last time I order from Stacked. I always get my order delivered and I have NEVER received a full order. Every time I order from Stacked Diner I receive either a packet that has been travelled up side down making the food a total mess to eat or something is missing from my order (this is usually the case with sauces). Today I had a look at my slip and noticed, not only did they not give me everything I had ordered, they also doubled the delivery fee! I have been SCAMMED enough by this place. Read your slip carefully and buy your own condiments if you want to order from Stacked Diner.
I went for breakfast here with a friend during the week, so it wasn’t too busy. The set up is spacious with a clear view of Kloof Street. I did like the yellow decor, such a happy colour and makes the inside seem super fresh. I went to the bathroom first, to wash my hands and I noticed that it was clean – hygiene is key – and had the same appeal as the restaurant has.The establishment is not halaal so I opted for something sweet instead. In relation to the food, I had the three-stack blueberry flapjacks, they were a bit small as I thought they would resemble american flap jacks which are much bigger in size. The flapjacks are served with a small side of syrup and some cream – the cream was different as you’ll see in the image , I’m used to eating whipped cream – what I will say is that the berries were real fresh. Alongside this, I ordered a cafe latte which was pretty decent. It’s definitely a place to visit with friends for some waffles and flapjacks.
