Just as bad as its counterpart in Rondebosch. Went today to see if it could redeem its sibling. There was bad service and the smell of oil hanging in the air which was so bad I couldn’t stick around.

Some of the best sushi you’ll find in Cape Town for sure! Service could do with some work at the best of times and the decor can be completely overhauled.

Sushi was amaaaaze! buffet rocks!! BUT The waiters never smiled, the manager wearing the spectacles was equally as inattentive and unfriendly. They completely ignored us. Some advice to the owner: You should definitely undercover Boss your staff.

Redeemed a Hyperli voucher for lunch on Fri, 27th Sept. When we placed our order, we were met with an openly hostile Christy Hong (Manager/Owner?), much to our chagrin as we had no idea what would have triggered such a response.  She insisted that my wife and I had to order the same meal, despite drawing her attention to clauses in the voucher which stated that each patron had a choice of options available. She raised her voice, gesticulated wildly that these were the rules and we should take it up with Hyperli. She was clearly suffering from a pre-existing disposition; however what is disconcerting, is that paying patrons had to bear the brunt of her caustic behaviour. The sad thing is that we were informed that this outburst was not new. Oh nearly forgot about the food review –  the less said about both taste and presentation, the better (see pic attached).

I love the area Sakura is located. The sushi here is very much affordable and delicious , they have daily discounts. The only thing keeping me from rating this place 4/5 is the service.
