I went to grab take aways from The Mustard Seed at the beginning of May. I ordered a lamb curry – flavours were okay but could do with a bit more spice. In terms of value for money – I know that ingredient prices may have gone up but for the lamb curry to have increased from R69 to R90 in a matter of a week is a bit steep.
Durban-style curries ? Yes please. The service is very good as it is a family run business. The restaurant is clean and neat. The lamb curry was the right consistency and had a good balance of flavours but I found it way too mild. The nice lady did say though that the next time she can make it hotter for me.
Well this place is just nice and cheap as all getout. Good curries, perfectly pleasant ambience, and it isn’t called Fat Harry’s or Hobnobs or Banana Jam so it’s ahead of the local game name-wise.
