We came here with the dogs after a walk at the beach and didn’t expect much but we were really positively surprised. The view over the river is stunning and the food was good too. Loved the attention to details with the plating. My hubby had a pizza and I had the fish and chips and both were really good.
I am so glad we finally got to stop at RiverDeck in Buffels Baai. This quint restaurant is situated next to a river and offers stunning views of the surrounding environment as well as being close to various post or pre-meal activities such as sand-art, pool and some water sports.What really blew me away was the indoor seating area with a cosy fireplace in the corner surrounded by couches. It is the perfect place to stop for a light meal or in my case: hot chocolate and carrot cake. The carrot cake was heavenly and was served with ice-cream which I must admit was a little strange but after trying it it has become the way in which I want all my carrot cakes in the future. Jürgen ordered the Rooster Brood with jam and cheese which was piping hot and delicious. Our waitress was very friendly (and very busy) and always made time to ask if we were enjoying our meals and remove unwanted crockery and utensils.We will definitely be back in the future when we want to be somewhere quite and have a homely and delicious meal.

Arrived and they switched off the lights and said bookings only, on a Wednesday at 0700. Great looking area fir kids and cool vibe, pity they are not keen to do business!
