We stayed at Rosendal and ate there as part of our stay there. I had the mushroom risotto for mains and chocolate tart for dessert. The risotto was very tasty, not at all sludgy and enjoyable and so was the dessert. The restaurant was a little quiet – it was a Sunday – but the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were really good. Such a sweet little place.

I felt like they really just opened up some woolies prepacked food and put it on a plate. Not ayoba ! This place seriously needs to rethink what it wants to do and what it wants to be good at because everything is lack luster. When people have to travel to enjoy a meal at a price tag it better impress. This however fell short on all fronts. The only positive I have is that the host was super friendly – almost to the point where she knew what she was selling wasn’t alright but it’s her job so she does it to the best of her ability. Very knowledgeable on her wine.
This is a hidden gem. We both had the mushroom risotto and it was the best risotto I have had!! Very taste and you savour every mouthful. Dessert we opted for the tart and a don pedro. Excellent as well. The setting is beautiful and the srrvice friendly and attentive. I will return.
