Seats torn and uncomfortable full of lumps and bumps. Food VERY small portioned. Heard the waiter say to the table behind us its because the food is cooked. Thats why it shrinks so much. Sauce in a tiny holder so also the sour cream. Never seen this small holders at other restaurants. Doesn’t cover 1/3 rd of steak @ R32 a rip off. Carpet bagger had 1 mussel. Potato really tiny. Was it jacket potato or 1 BABY potato? Plate looks very empty. Peppermint dom pedro very thin – watered down. Vegetables tasteless.Menu on Zomato completely incorrect. Needs to be seriously updated.The steak special was not tender. However the carpet bagger was melt in your mouth tender.
This review is for the Cattle Baron in the Eden Meander centre George, can’t find it on Zomato.An upmarket menu and restaurant. Good service. The drinks are very reasonably priced. Crumbed mushroom starter was a good size portion, served straight from the grill, and very succulent. Cordon Bleau was excellent , and again a very large portion. Sides were also good, with butternut having a cinnamon flavor. Sirloin with avo, bacon and Camembert was perfectly done. Malva pudding to end off was delicious. Overall a good experience, we will be back.
Great dining experience, well received by friendly waiters. I did the Tuesday burger special. Food was good and is great value for money. Would certainly recommend.
