Went to the restaurant and started off with drinks. They only had Hunters for breezers and had no ice. When we wanted to order steak on the menu, the waiter said they only have calamari and fish and chips.

Well meaning, but a complete let down is what I what describe this place. Weekend road tripping and my family and I decided to make use of the Entertainer for dinner at this restaurant. We wondered in just after 6:15pm, warmly greeted and seated at a lovely table with good views of the ocean. Promptly placing our order around 6:30pm, we waited for what seemed like an eternity for the food to arrive. Almost 45 min later the food finally made an appearance. And it all went further downhill from here. My folks ordered the lamb curry. The lamb curry was made with beef and not lamb. The menu says it’s served with cucumber salad and rye bread (quite arb). It never made an appearance. After pointing it out to the waiter, he indicated he would call the chef regarding the non-lamb dish and then disappeared for another eternity to fetch the remainder of the meal. The chef never pitched up and another 15 min later the waiter arrives with a large garden salad and 3 Indian rotlis (not the bread) for just the one of the 2 curries ordered. My brothers decided on steak. One had the 500g T-bone steak with wedges and the other the 300g rump with wedges. Both ordered it medium. The t-bone came out as per order. The rump was like biltong, came with veggies and fries instead of the ordered wedges. (Forgot to take pics of these dishes and only remembered when they were halfway through eating their food). I opted for the oxtail. Tough and salty. I do not recommend this dish at all. I should’ve opted for an Indian dish. The fact that there were 3 buses of tourists from Mumbai, half the menu was Indian dishes and the chef was Indian was a hint that their Indian food would be better than average. And after tasting the not lamb but beef curry – it actually was the better dish at the table. Our waiter disappeared for another eternity. I then got up to settle the bill. It took 20 min to do this. Systems and printers had to be restarted and actually by that point I was just so ready to leave. The manager could tell I was not pleased, and after giving him a rundown of the list of disappointments, he gave us our drinks order on the house. Should I ever return, I’d stick to their Indian food.

Great food. Friendly staff with an amazing view of you sitting outside. I had the salt and pepper mushrooms for starter and it was different but very nice. Their tandoori prawns was nice and calamari very fresh. Portions are small and kind of pricey as I had to add a starter calamari portion to my main meal. Overall it was lovely and I got to use my Entertainer.

Came here on the Entertainer for dinner. The waitress immediately asked us if we are on the Entertainer while she sat us down. We said yes and its like all effort were lost from her side. She didnt make an effort to smile, ask us if the food is okay or offer us any extra sauces with our food. She didnt come back to check on us to find out if we want more drinks. The steaks we ordered was soft and tasty. But the atmosphere, service and place is not worht anothet visit again.
