It’s a great spot for a healthy, delicious meal. They cater for all food preferences to: gluten free, sugar free, low carb, vegetarian. The staff are really friendly too.The wraps are heavenly and the homemade soups are hearty and wholesome. Their bakery offers delicious cakes, pastries and breads.
This is one of my favourite little day-time gems in Cape Town. A quiet space in Observatory, with beautiful wholesome food made with love, I highly recommend a visit. They have a menu that caters to special dietary requirements, and give vegans and vegetarians a wonderful variety of options. I’ve been going here for years. Highly recommended: The morning toastie (basil pesto, mozzarella, tomato and bacon on ciabatta – add an egg if you like), the Bacon Salad (a delicious fresh salad with bacon bits – add their home-made balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey and mustard vinaigrette), and their freshly made little cakes.
I had breakfast there and it was a good experience. Delicious oats, juice and coffee. Very cosy place, great bakery! Service was okay, good enough.
I didn’t really enjoy the coffee, food, or the service. On the plus side, they have a lovely, quaint set-up, with convenient positioning right on Lower Main and loads of vegetarian and vegan options. On the downside, my coffee was bitter, the Brie and onion marmalade sandwich was just not very tasty (although I did enjoy the ciabatta roll), and service was painfully slow. I don’t think I’ll be returning here.
Nice selection, presentation, and quality of food in a small but very pleasant setting, with pleasant and attentive service. The bakery products are equally well produced and elegantly packaged.
