This place is in need of a little bit of a face lift. I like the concept but letters peeling off the walls and dirty white paint in sections leaves me a bit sad. The coffee is decent and the sandwiches are prepackaged and more geared towards take away than sit down. There was nothing wrong with my salmon roll but this spot could be so much more inviting with a little bit of an upgrade.
What a stunning little place tucked away from everything in Obz but AFDA. So expect a few students popping in from time to time. Lovely posts on the wall to keep your spirits up and an amazing cup of coffee. Good service and the food is really good. The brownies are so big and reasonable. Nice background music too. Check it out.
The cookie yard just hosted a friend and me to the ideal (sunny/winter) lunch break. Nestled away in the quiet back streets of Obs, no other than a great little lunch spot.Toasted pumpkin seed, spiced chicken toastie and green juice with a peanut butter & date bar for the road.
This super cute café is definitely one of Observatory’s hidden gems and is the perfect place to grab a quick bite with friends. The lay out is simples with a large central table and a couple peripheral stools but my favorite part of the decor is the coffee quotes scattered around the café. The food options are quite limited but the ready made sandwiches are ideal for a fast meal. The coffee is amazing and they have a variety of homemade baked goods to make lovely accompaniments.
Stopped by for a quick snack while on my way to Woodstock. The ‘caramel crunch’ brownie was today’s choice and it wasn’t too bad. Not all that flavourful but for R6 it certainly appeased my sweet tooth.
