This place is surprisingly recommended by all the locals we met in Hermanus. For how popular it is though I found the food was underwhelming. The “soutribbetjies” I had were so bland. I suppose the point is to cook them with salt only but even the salt was lacking. The oxtail that Emmy partner had was very hearty. The restaurant is very intimate which we liked.

Such a lovely view and my lam ribs fell of the bone, succulent. The friendliness of our waitress was however pathetic, not once did she ask if we were okay or if we’re enjoying our food. I expect better client service.
