With so many restaurants to choose from in Hermanus, its become a bit of a challenge to identify a restaurant where the quality of the meal and the enjoyment of the overall dining experience justfies the price charged.The most satisfying dining experience that I enjoyed over our Christmas holiday was at Fishermans Cottage. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. Our waiter gave us the time and the space to enjoy our meals but was never out of reach when we needed his attention.I ordered the sardines starter and yellowtail mains while my wife ordered the bread, humus and olive tapenade starter with the Argentinian mussel mains. We washed it down with chilled Durbanville Hills Savignon Blanc sparkling wine. Two hours flew by as we savoured the fragrances and flavours of each dish. We found nothing to criticise. We will definitely return and can recommend Fishermans Cottage to anyone looking for immaculately prepared and tasty seafood dishes at reasonable prices.

Completely bamboozled by price of line of the day vs catch of the day. One R105, one R195. Feeling very shafted because of an accident of wording!!
