A lovely experience. I had the fishcakes for starters which really were exceptional, the combination of flavors and textures worked so well. The ostrich burger for mains was less impressive but still good. The pana cota for dessert was delicious. We will definitely go back.
The service was good however the Main course was not worth the money or the time. Very disappointing. Barely any fish in my main course fish meal. The main course was served like a starter portion. Ordered additional sticky rice to try and make it a full meal and received partially cooked rice. My husbands burger was very good.
The most incredible dining experience I have ever had in Hermanus. I have had a house here for over 12 years and finally tried out this beautiful ocean view hotel/restaurant. My word. Where to begin? We had drinks in the lovely lounge with a beautiful sea view and then made our way to the restaurant which has a breath taking view of the ocean. We were given complimentary bread which was so tasty. My mom and I ordered fish and chips but it was your average fish and chips – it was to die for. We then shared the apple and sage tart (not knowing how huge it was). But no regrets, best apple tart I have ever had. It was absolutely amazing. A very talented chef in this kitchen! Will be back soon! Couldn’t recommend it more for people visiting Hermanus. Yum yum yum.
Horrible! False advertising. Ordered a seafoof curry and got sinewy lab offcuts that was probably purchased at R2 per kilogram and cheap sweet patato. Disgusting!! Traveled all the way from cape town for a 14 year anniversary and this is the memory we have to take with us. Unacceptable!
Excellent location, absolutely amazing sea bass and stunning pottery plates makes for a most memorable lunch. The hotel is spectacular and the decor inside is so beautiful. Highly recommend
