Popped in for breakfast on the recommendation of a friend, and it wasn’t bad at all. I wouldn’t rave about it but all our food was well presented and tasty. Cappuccino looked great although the coffee itself wasn’t anywhere near strong enough for the espresso. We tried a variety of the breakfast options and everyone was happy. The eggs Benedict was served on a toasted burger bun which was a little disappointing for me but that’s their quirky style. I will come back to try a few of the lunch options next time I’m in hermanus.
Had the half portion fishcakes, half portion calamari and the butternut & beetroot salad. Really tasty food. The butternut salad was divine and the calamari so lekker! Very surprised as it looked like a breakfast joint. Will try come back!

Took a road trip through to Hermanus to visit my grandparents and after doing a bit of research in the car on the way there we decided to try Savannah Café for lunch. If you’re not in a rush, like we weren’t, then it’s the perfect spot for those who enjoy healthy food and variety. My parents, my sisters and I all had the Cajun chicken sandwich on different breads. The service was a little disappointing and we waited a while.. But it was worth it! After our plates were cleared away empty, the general consensus was an unspoken cry of satisfaction and enjoyment. The sandwich is served as an open double decker and already had us excited before we even dug in! As we had anticipated, it tasted as awesome as it looked! The chicken was tender and grilled with a kick of spice, the bread was fresh & toasted just the right amount and the sun dried pesto added a delicious flavour that completed the whole ensemble! Still raved about that sandwich on the ride home!!
My family and I had lunch, we all had burgers and chips which were delicious, I had the tofu burger and it was excellent! We went back for coffee and cake a few days later and were very impressed with their selection of cakes and desserts, their coffee is also very good and service friendly. We will definitely return.  Well done Savannah Café!!!
