Lovely spot! We went to Daily Bread as a group of 10 mates and we all ordered different breakfast items; they were able to turnaround the orders quite quickly and the food was great. My friends who tried the more meaty items such as sausages & bacon were quite impressed with the quality. The show stopper absolutely was the croissant which was freshly baked and was inch perfect. We also tried the coffee’s and the MCC and both were of the highest quality; in specific be sure to try out the Claudia MCC if you are looking for some breakfast bubbly.   Thanks for having us guys; see you soon!

Chose this place because we were craving ciabatta and wanted a place outside the busy Harbour front. I had the hollandaise breakfast with ciabatta instead of the croissant and my husband had the omelette. For R115 I expected a homemade hollandaise sauce not a very clearly box bought sauce. R20 for for extra avo in season was a bit steep I thought. The omette was a but rubbery but otherwise OK. Not a bad restaurant I just think they can do a lot better if they want to charge the prices they do.

We visited this restaurant on recommendation from friends, mainly to try their pizzas. So the moment we arrived in Hermanus around lunchtime we went to The Daily Bread. On the specific day they we rather quiet during lunchtime and we were the only people in the restaurant. They have outdoor seating as well, which can be nice on a nice sunny day. This time around it was cold and overcast, so we got seated inside. On te far end I could see the woodfired pizza over ready. Which was a good sign, as I live woodfired pizzas. There are a small wine section as well as a deli were various items are sold.On this specific day they had a buy one get one special on all pizzas. Our waiter was extremely friendly, but not entirely knowledgeable about the special and how it worked. Do you get two of the same pizzas or do you pay for the cheapest or most expensive one. After a few visits to the kitchen, he came back with a description of what the special consisted of. Basically you could order any pizza and get the cheapest one free. The pizza selection on the menu was rather limited. If I remember correctly, there was five or six to choose from, including the usual margarita. And from what I could gather there was no option to add any toppings. We opted for the Vegetarian (R105) and the Crudo (R125) which had a few pieces of parma ham scattered (see photo) The vegetarian had snippets of spinach on top, although I am almost sure it was supposed to be rocket. Could be wrong though, as I can not recall. That said, the two elements I loved about the pizzas, was their thin base and the tomato base used. Really good. The rest of their menu items looks good. Drinks were also reasonably prices. An area most other restaurants overprice themselves. Next time I will try something else.

So I confess that it was the WiFi that was the main attraction here in the first instance!  Yes, free Wifi at a decent speed.  Staff were friendly and helpful.  We had many coffees and teas, and also some tasty salads.  It’s a multi-talented place – there’s a bar, restaurant, TV showing sport and a small store with various goods and crafts.
