The Eatery claims to have a menu inspired by Ottolenghi, River Café and English celebrity chef Rick Stein so on our first visit recently, Julia Baillie had big boots to fill. At first glance, this is a hidden and rustic gem, well-supported by locals. What they are famous for? Their Eatery Benedict.What I felt like (and selected on our rainy, cold visit)? What a beautiful breakfast spot in the heart of Hermanus.This eatery has a very open, village feel to it and I love it. All the dishes are prepared with love and attention and taste delicious. There are also many items for sale in the restaurant (giving it that ancient village feel).The coffee was delicious, the service was friendly and prices were on par with what you’d find in the Cape.Overall it was very enjoyable and I can highly recommend The Eatery for a tasty and filling breakfast.
One of our favorites in Hermanus. Amazing coffee and a different menu style with some interesting options. Highly recommend the muesli fruit pot as well as the eggs benedict. They also have some tasty homemade goodies to choose from (homemade bread!). Very good local support and lovely rustic interior design.
Best Eggs Benedict in Hermanus. Nice and cozy location and not overly crowded by tourists. The whole menu is amazing. Worth paying a visit on your next trip to Hermanus
