  So we went to Betty’s bay on holiday recently and decided to have lunch at one of the local establishments, because half of the group were craving pizza and gringos had it on their menu we chose gringos.we were a group of 11 and so we put two tables together so that we could all fit.this was easily one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to, for starters some of the local patrons were leering at us over the rim of their beers (not sure why but our group did have some color to it).we sat down and a waiter came running over to wipe the accumulated dust off of our tables while we were sitting there.something that should be done Before the customers arrive!We were handed some menus by a lady who came over to serve us, we decided on our drinks and a friendly young waiter came over to take our order.after our drinks were brought over the guy asked if we’d decided on what we’d like to eat, I asked him what was in the spring rolls because I’d like the spring rolls and chips basket and that I’m a vegetarian, he assured me not to worry and that there were only vegetables in the spring rolls so I placed my order and everyone else placed theirs.the same lady who had seated us to begin with came back a little later on to lay out our plates and knives and forks, she set out or plates and knives and forks for the one half of the table but on the other table where the rest of our group was seated (the colorful side)she left a stack of plates and walked away without setting it for them.one of my friends called her back and explained she’d like a new knife as the one she had was dirty and the woman took it away and came back with a clean one, when she returned and still didn’t attend to the stack of plates my friend asked her if she could set out the other half of our groups plates please as she had for us and she obliged.moving on, our food finally arrived and we all got ready to tuck in.most of the pizzas had bruised avocado on but we left it as it was and tried not to find fault.my one friend started to grind some pepper and all the peppercorns came flying out all over her pizza, the table, and the floor because the lid was broken.she tried to wipe it away awkwardly and get back to eating her pizza whilst I asked our waiter to bring us a new pepper grinder because the one at the table was broken.i poured some tobasco sauce on my spring roll and popped the first one in my mouth without any thought, munching away cause I was quite hungry.when I got to the second spring roll I started to chew a little more slowly and taste my food,at this point I realized something was wrong and that I was not tasting vegetables.i opened the spring roll up to find it stuffed full of chicken and almost threw up on my plate.i was furious, I had asked the man beforehand what I would be getting and lied to because he couldn’t be bothered to find out what they actually served at the restaurant he worked at.i told him I wouldn’t be paying for any of my meal and he could take the entire thing away.i walked away from the restaurant after this as I didn’t feel like sitting there anymore while my friends finished their meal, when they were done my one friend came over and told me he had still billed me for my milkshake and that she’d paid for it.ive never been so disgusted in the appalling service as I am with this place.that this man chose to charge me for my milkshake after such a monumental mess up spoke volumes about how the staff run the place.never again

  Our favourite place for breakfast in Kleinmond. Best breakfast option including mushrooms, cheese griller, toast and chips! Lovely view and cheerful service
