The sushi is surprisingly good at this quiet ‘pubby’ spot in Kleinmond. Off the beaten track, this is a must do for any sushi-lovers. The views are stunning and staff friendly and helpful.
Always a nice place to enjoy stunning views and lekker food. Tuesdays and Thursdays are a must for calamari hake fans as the combo is 50% off, Wednesdays and Fridays are ‘must go there days’ for Sushi lovers as they are half price. Staff is also very friendly.
27th April We were looking forward to the sushi, 50% off on a Friday. We arrived at 5 and restaurant wasn’t too busy. Within 15 min we placed our order and everything went down hill from there. We ordered soup and sushi. The soup was delicious but the sushi we waited more than an hour for and was terrible. Hardly any rice, sushi was falling apart when i lifted it up. Couldn’t eat it with chopsticks as it just disintegrated.We sat opposite the kitchen pass and could here the female waitress argueing with one of the male waiters. The manager was there and when we complained to our waiter about the lengthy wait, the manager never once apologized just told the waiter to tell us it would be another 30 min.Another waiter went to the manager and advised that customers had paid full price for their cocktails instead of half price and the manager just shrugged his shoulders.Another couple opposite us flagged down a waiter to place their order, the female waiter said it isn’t her table. Then she argued with the other waiters. Eventually, the couple just left in disgust.When we eventually got our bill and left, the waiter had the audacity to ask us if that was the amout we were paying (We did not tip) I said yes, I tip for service and since I never got any, there is no tip.Very very disappointing
Stopped for a drink here en-route to Cape Town. Plentiful parking, seating with a great view, friendly patrons and staff and great drinks specials. As close to you’ll get as a drink on the beach.
